I work at a hotel in Wisconsin, and this older man staying at the hotel last night told me (just out of the blue) that he created the sunroof. He said it was in 1979, and the first one went onto a Fiat X19 Roadster. He was telling me how they used to have the lift-top roofs, where you physically lifted the whole thing off, so he came up with the sunroof to replace it. I have no proof that this is true, and don't know if I should give his name or if it is confidential being that I work at a hotel.
