America has been handed from county to county but it was originally Christopher Columbus who discovered it at the request of King Ferdinand of Spain. in 1492 Columbus and his men discoverd America but to their surprise, America was already full of Native Americans.

News spread in Europe of the new continent, King George of England quickly became interested. He sent his men to the east-coast of North America, New England.

At the same time, The French, Dutch, Spanish, and Russians controlled a bigger part in North and South America.

George Washington, who grew up in Virgina, Joined the British Army when he was 17. He Helped the French in the French-indian War, and The French aided him in The Revolution (Ben Franklin also helped because he convinced King Louise to join the fight against Britain) On July 4 1776, The Declaration of Independence was signed and America became what it is now known today.
