Currently, there are none known today in the wild Bengal tiger population. Bengal tigers seem to be the only subspecies that carries the gene to make certain individuals white. It is a very rare occurance in the wild. There are several hundred in zoos and parks, all descended from the first cubs captured decades ago in Rewa, India.
