Midland made there last Rifle in 1965.They where then taken over by ParkerHale. They made rifles with the Midland as a model. For example Midland 1100,1200 and so on.
That would depend on whether it is a shotgun, rifle, or handgun. Also on who made it.
Start with the markings on the gun. Is it a Winchester,Marlin,Remington, etc? What cartridge does the rifle fire? (.22,.243,30-06,30-30,8mm Mauser?) Is it single shot or magazine fed? Is it bolt action, lever action, semi-auto? When you can answer these questions, you can get an idea of when and where it was made.
Blue Book of Gun Values would be a place to start
Gun Auction.com has a Maadi ak47 listed for $459 starting bid. I saw a couple at gun shows for $650-$800 range. Boils down to it is worth what you can sell it for. Or if it gives you a warm fuzzy feeling knowing you have a rifle that makes your liberal neighbors nervous-priceless. If you don't know how to accurately shoot it and hit your target 90% of the time-worthless.
