Canadian, John Hopps invented the first cardiac pacemaker and he was trained as an electrical engineer at the University of Manitoba and joined the National Research Council in 1941, where he conducted research on hypothermia. While experimenting with radio frequency heating to restore body temperature, Hopps discovered if a heart stopped beating due to cooling, it could be started again by artificial stimulation using mechanical or electric means. This lead to Hopps' invention of the world's first cardiac pacemaker in 1950. His device was far too large to be implanted inside of the human body. It was an external pacemaker.
to help people servive and to keep there heart at a good pace.
this sentence above is not correct because he did not even imagine he was going to invent a pacemaker. He had a great interest in hypothermia......so while doing researches about this he did an error.......but this error came to become the first pacemaker.........but this pacemaker was really big it wouldnt fit in a humans body. only later was it made small to fit in a humans body.
i am hundred percent sure about this!

pacemaker is a pacemaker
pacemaker is a pacemaker
How did the pacemaker effect the world?
It would likely fry the pacemaker
pacemaker
the answer is in the question. if the pacemaker is replaced the leads are used for it.
The heart's "pacemaker" is the SA (sinoatrial) node.
The pacemaker is located on the outside of the right atrium.
A pacemaker delivers an electric stimulus to the heart.
The sinoatrial node is considered the pacemaker of the heart.
John hopps invented the first external pacemaker. Later Earl Bakken improved this pacemaker by making it battery powered. And then Wilson Greatbatch invented the first implantable pacemaker!
