The Second Temple was constructed on the site of the first in 516 CE by Ezra, Nehemiah, and Zerrubabel. It was then substantially improved by Herod the Great in from 19 BCE all the way to 63 CE, which was long after his death and only seven years before the Romans would destroy it in 70 CE.

First was built by Solomon. The Second by Zerubbal, then Herod repaired and refurbished the second after it had been partially destroyed (that was the one Jesus went to when He was here on earth(you may call this the third Temple, Herod's Temple. There is to be a fourth( some call it the third since Herod didn't actually build it) during the 7 years Tribulation period. It will begin at the first part of Tribulation period and completed after 3 1/2 years.

Solomon's temple in Jerusalem was destroyed in 72 AD. It stood on Mt. Moriah. It has not been rebuilt. There are prophesies that predict it will be rebuilt when the remnant returns to the land. Has Jerusalem's temple been rebuilt?

apparently so! :-) I believe that they pray at the wall for the temple to be rebuilt everyday, so that they do not have to stay outside the wall, and will have somewhere to pray. The Jews as far as I'm aware do not believe Jesus fullfilled all the attributes in the bible for him to be the one. Besides they have already made most of the religious artifacts to go into the temple, and are just diliberating over its exact position,,,, other things must come to pass before this
