The Hudson's Bay Company was a trading company that established trading posts on the shores of Hudson Bay, and later in Canada's interior. At those trading posts, it traded European manufactured goods to the people of the First Nations. From them in return, the Hudson's Bay Company received animal furs, which were then shipped back to England.
