Anne Frank's family went into hiding in their secret annex in Amsterdam in July 1942 to escape persecution during World War II. They were discovered by the Nazis in August 1944 and subsequently deported to concentration camps. Anne Frank and her sister Margot died in Bergen-Belsen camp in 1945, while their father Otto Frank was the sole Survivor from the family.

Eventually the person betrayed them and the Gestapo found the Franks and took them to a concentration camp, where all of them excluding Otto Frank died.
