Currently, there is no news regarding R3 from the company. It is however possible because code geass R3 is really on high demand from fans, it'll be better for the company to make it (more money) so it is possible.
This is just my opinion, but it might take about 2-3 years (from the end of R2) until they might make R3 because I've noticed companies wait about few years until a new season of an anime.

The third season is not offical, more like a rumor being spread around. They are going to make a sequal though, called Code Geass Gaiden: Boukoku no Akito. It does not say when it will be published, however.
