According to TLC, 'Jon and Kate Plus 8' (September 29, 2009) is being renamed 'Kate Plus 8' to reflect the changes in the Gosselin family. September 30, 2009, Jon Gosselin issued a cease and desist order to stop all filming of the Gosselin children by TLC. Since the order, filming has been suspended of the popular reality show. According to TLC, there is enough footage to produce episodes through mid-November 2009. After the order to stop filming, TLC pulled the announcement of 'Kate Plus Eight' from their website. According to some sources, 'Kate Plus Eight' will air in January 2010.
