Opinion

This is not something that happens suddenly, overnight. God has a large

plan, which is implemented gradually. If you look around you, you'll notice

that the world is changing. Some of these changes are negative; for

example, machines of war get more and more destructive. Other changes

are positive; for example, unlike previous centuries, most people no longer

consider war acceptable. War is just one aspect; there are other aspects

where you can notice both the advance of God's plans, and the result of

forces opposing (or indifferent to) God's plans.

Opinion

In the past week, I've read in three different places the claim that the

amount of money it would take to feed, shelter, clothe, and educate the

world's total population for a year is the same amount that is currently

spent on arms and ammunition every two weeks.

This statement may or may not be accurate. But I think that anyone who

has read the holy scriptures of ANY of the world's great religions would

agree that god's will, as it regards the care and suppport of those who

have little by those who have more, is not presently the standard mode

of operation on Earth.

Now, I don't know who or what this "Kingdom" is of which you speak. But

it seems to me that it's the responsibility of MAN to wake up and smell the

coffee, to see and acknowledge the changes that need to be made, and

then to make them, to cause god's will to be done on Earth.

We meet the enemy every day. He is always US, but we still keep looking

around in bewilderment, wondering who or what is going to fall from the

sky and straighten out our world for us.

What did Jesus give us so that we could offer ourselves with Him to the Father?

he gave his life for us on the cross He also gave us a deeper and more spiritual understanding of Gods purpose for the earth in relationship to the coming of Gods kingdom to bring peace to mankind. The main theme of his message was about the good news of this Kingdom. Millions pray for it to come over and over again but most do not know what they are asking for. Ask most people in most churches that question, and expect a blank look. Another expression for Kingdom, is Governmental rulership. With the coming of that Kingdom Jesus knew and taught that " your will will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Most of the more than 40 signs for the coming of that Kingdom are now fulfilled world wide indicating the closeness of that Kingdom rule when "the meek will inherit the earth" after he " brings to ruin those who are ruining the earth." Matthew 5:5 Revelation 11:18.

Do Jehovah's Witness believe Christ is dead?

No. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Christ is very much alive - - in Heaven; that he is the appointed King of God's Kingdom. He is a 'living' King, not a 'dead' King. Soon his Kingdom will come, and God's will, will be done on EARTH, as it is in heaven. There will be peace on earth. These are things a dead Jesus could not accomplish.
