So they know the problems associated with watching cartoons that you may just be too immature to understand. Watching cartoons means you are not exercising your imagination, or devising interesting ways to keep yourself occupied. You are relying on external influences only for entertainment, and thus your brain is not being given the opportunity to develop properly.
