It will be any day now, by the time you read this you may have had your baby. It is impossible to be more predictive than this. Some women take days to get to full dilation from 2cm, some go from a virtually closed cervix to full dilatation in 3 hours.
It could be later today it could be 3 weeks from now. Just because you are dilated to something doen'nt mean labor is anytime soon...sorry. I have been dilated to a 3 for 2 weeks now :(
No,not always. I didn't with either of mine. Sometimes it doesn't come out until the baby is born.
no
i went to the dr yesterday and am .5 cm diolted and mt cervix is short its at 2.1 do you think i will go to term? i gess there is a swab test that can determine if i will have the baby with in the next 2 weeks. is this true?
You are already in the first stages of labor. It could become hard labor in a matter of minutes or days. Keep a close eye on things and get to the clinic or hospital (or call your doctor or midwife if you are having a home birth) as soon as thigns begin to change.
Means your 4cm dilated and they can see your water through your cervix. So it can break any time. Just left labor and delivery tonight I'm also 4cm and bulging with baby number 3!!
You are probably fine. If the baby continues to not move, you should contact your doctor.
Your baby is moving down the birth canal
Cervix has got a opening it it. Cervix is a sphincter. Normally it is in contracted stage. At the time of the delivery the cervix needs to be dilated slowly and progressively. The uterus goes on contracting and retracting. The whole baby has to pass through the dilated cervix in order to get the baby delivered. Normal delivery is not possible with out the cervix getting dilated.
There is no way to accurately predict when you will have your baby
