The BP Oil Spill will be permanetly stopped when the well is capped. Two efforts to permanetly stop the flow are:
- A) A top kill, using a junk shot, followed by a kill mud
- B) Drilling relief wells
If the first is successfl, the well could be permanetly shut-in within two weeks, May 24, but if unsuccessful, it might be until late July or later before the relief well is completed.
