After all my years of hunting in MS. The rut seems to typically start the last two weeks of december. It kinda depends on factors like weather and geography. Ive had alot of time in the woods lately and have already seen small bucks chasing does. Maybe a early rut? Hope it helps
The absolute number one way to find out when the rut is happening in your area(because they dont all happen at one same time all over the state-usually start up north first) is to check with your local taxidermist. I live in central Ms. and my taxidermist friend says he always gets the majority of his bucks the week before Christmas and the week after. Granted, more people are off work and hunting more during these times, but my hunting experiences here have proven to me over the years that thats when the rut is the hottest here.
That can kinda be a tricky question because of the constant weather change in MS, normally the chasing phase begins somewhere around Nov. 12th and runs up to around Nov. the 28th. The breading of deer typically doesnt begin until the first week of December and run to the end of December & sometimes even later depending on numerous things such as weather, moon phases, temp. and other things.
November 3rd is the magical date for Marylands whitetail deer hunters. The rut should last approximately 20 days (depending on weather conditions).
I'm pretty sure the rut is on right now
around November every year
The warm & cold weather can fluctuate the time of the rut. You can visit the MS dept of Wildlife for a map showing general, average times per part of the state.
The whitetail rut in Louisiana is a prolonged event, however, to cut to the chase, it can be narrowed to the week before Christmas with bucks being on the prowl searching for hot does building to a peak frenzie begining the day after Christmas lasting about four or five days afterwards. This is true for much of south east Louisiana. Be in the woods as much as possible during these two weeks.

We are not told if the car just reaches the deer, or gets to some other distance before or past the deer. If it just reaches the deer, it traveled 90 metres of course. From the information supplied it doesn't matter where the deer was.
