The game was released for Windows and Mac OS X in June 2009. The Sims 3 will be released to home consoles on October 26, 2010, for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii and Nintendo DS. There is also a Nintendo 3DS version under development, which will be in 3D (although the console itself has not been released yet).
