It depends on how you promote your blog. If you write about things that people are searching for you might see traffic from search engines. If you are blogging through a website that promotes new blogs posts to their homepage you might get traffic from there.
There is a lot you can do to promote your blog so other people know it exists and then check it out for themselves.

The number of visits that appear on your stats is the amount of times someone have entered your blog.
