First off it is not your stomach per say that grows, it is your uterus. The uterus sits deep in the pelvis and usually fits in there until month 4 when it flips up over your symphysis pubis in need of more room. Every woman is going to be different though with our various body shapes and will be different with each pregnancy as the abdominal muscles change with each.
WEEK 1 AND 2:
It may seem strange, but you're not actually pregnant the first week or two of the time allotted to your pregnancy. Yes, you read that correctly!
Conception typically occurs about two weeks after your period begins. To calculate your due date, your health care provider will count ahead 40 weeks from the start of your last period. This means your period is counted as part of your pregnancy - even though you weren't pregnant at the time.
WEEK 3:
The sperm and egg unite in one of your fallopian tubes to form a one-celled entity called a zygote. If more than one egg is released and fertilized, you may have multiple zygotes.
The zygote has 46 chromosomes - 23 from you and 23 from your partner. These chromosomes will help determine your baby's sex, traits such as eye and hair color, and, to some extent, personality and intelligence.
Soon after fertilization, the zygote travels down the fallopian tube toward the uterus. At the same time, it will begin dividing rapidly to form a cluster of cells resembling a tiny raspberry. The inner group of cells will become the embryo. The outer group of cells will become the membranes that nourish and protect it.
WEEK 4:
When the zygote - now known as a blastocyst - reaches your uterus, it will burrow into the uterine wall for nourishment. The placenta, which will nourish your baby throughout the pregnancy, also begins to form.
By the end of this week, you may be celebrating a positive pregnancy test.
Pregnancy will start on the day you had sex and the sperm met the egg.
It really depends on the person, because some people show early and others show late.
I started to show at my 12 weeks.
Usually, a pregnancy will start to show after the first 3 months!
No there is no heard and fast rule where your age and pregnancy are concerned.
As soon as the 1st trimester!
An internal sonogram can show pregnancy as soon as 4 weeks. There will likely show an amniotic sac which is the first to form during pregnancy. Within a week after that you can see the fetus start to form. The heartbeat will likely show around 8 weeks.
You can show during your second month of pregnancy. Some women don't start showing until their fourth month of pregnancy. It depends on your weight before you were pregnant when you will show.
Yes, They do. I'm 5'3 and weighed 118-122 before I had my son. I didn't start to show until I was 3 or 4 months pregnant with him.
no it takes at least 3 months to start showing
Yes, it depends on how skinny you are. The skinnier you are, most likely the sooner you will show. Also, if this is not your first pregnancy you will start showing sooner.
Every pregnancy is different. You may start having a few symptoms (i.e. breast tenderness, possibly frequent urination) as early as 2 weeks into the pregnancy or symptoms might show up much later. Some women experience little or no symptoms at all.
It's different for everyone. Generally you should earlier on with your second (or more) pregnancy. In a first pregnancy, you generally start to show around 4 months, but some people start showing at 12 weeks, others at 6 months
You can show during your third month in pregnancy. You need to gain about five pounds to start showing your belly. Your skin will stretch and this causes it to itch.
