A blanket?
This varies, depending on preference.
I use a waterproof 'rain rug' for my horses during the wet season. During winter, or whenever I clip my horses, I use a winter rug to keep them warm.
It's particularly for elderly horses or those with fine coats, but it's good to rug every winter.

I guess you would need basic items if you have a horse. A feed bag, curry brush, etc. are good horse items for horse people.
The horse would not get all of the nutrients that they need to survive. They would probably colic. It would not be healthy for them, and they would die.
After checking the website I could not find any information on whether or not you are required to bring your own horse for lessons or not. I would suspect however that you would need your own horse or at least a lease horse for her lessons.

horses don't need litterboxes
It depends on what kind of horses coat your horse has all year round. If it has a thick coat then it would be fine in a weed-free paddock. If your horse has a smooth, fine coat it would probably need some sort of sturdy shelter against the cold. If your horse is an 'outside' horse, it would need a winter cover. It would also need some trees for shelter. It needs to have a fence and a gate. If you have a 'inside' horse you will need the sturdy shelter, a heavy winter cover and basic stable things. Hayley
it depends on the weather, season, and the kind of blanket
It depends what you want to use the horse for. If you wanted a jumping horse, you would need a sport-type horse (Thoroughbred, Warmbloods, certain pony breeds etc.) where as if you wanted a horse for say, driving, you would need a draft or pony (Percheron, Fell, Falebella etc.)

You groom a mustang the same way you would groom any other horse.
For that you would probably need to ride a 13hh pony to 15hh horse.
