The Sacraments are Christ's Gifts to His Church. Every Sacrament we receive, we receive Him.
The sacrament of confirmation is when a young member of the church who has received his/her baptism, first reconciliation, and first communion decides to become an adult within the church.
If and when you get married in a church
The church isn't a sacrament. The Catholic Church HAS seven sacraments, not all of them are received. The sacraments are baptism, reconciliation, first communion, confirmation, hold orders, marriage, and anointing of the sick.
Roman Catholic AnswerA Catholic should go to confession (receive Reconciliation) anytime that they are in a state of serious sin, and they must gobefore receiving the Most Holy Eucharist, if they are not in a state of grace. There is a very old Church law which says that if you are in a state of sin, you must confess serious sins at least once each year, but this is a bare minimum to prove you are still a Catholic.
The person who can perform a sacrament is a priest or a bishop.
Like all Sacrmaments, the Church believes that it is a very serious commitment to receive Confirmation. You must be a Catholic in good standing, to receive this sacrament.
There are seven sacraments of the Church. They are grouped as follows:Sacraments of Initiation (3)BaptismConfirmationHoly Communion (Eucharist)Sacraments of Healing (2)Sacrament of Confession (also called the Sacrament of Penance or the Sacrament of Reconciliation)Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick (formerly called Extreme Unction)Sacraments of Service (2)Sacrament of Holy Matrimony (Marriage)Sacrament of Holy Orders
There is no difference. The name of the sacrament is Reconciliation, the act is confessing. By confessing your sins and asking for forgivness from God, you are reconciling yourself with Jesus.
