When you bottomed out a 1993 Honda civic ex it is running hot sometimes and skipping what can cause this?

When you bottomed out the car you could have hit the oil pan. When doing so you hit the oil pump and the oil is not getting to the motor correctly. That is what would be causeing it to over heat or run hot. But the skipping I dont know.
