New Moon, they call it.
It is called a new moon.
The phase of the moon when we cannot see it at all is called the "New Moon." During this phase, the moon is positioned between the Earth and the Sun, causing the side of the moon that is illuminated by the Sun to face away from Earth. As a result, the moon appears dark and is not visible from our planet.

That is the new moon phase.
The 'Far Side'
That's at the "new" moon, when the Moon is very close to the Sun.
When you can't see the moon at all in the sky, it is called a new moon. This occurs when the moon is positioned between the Earth and the Sun, making the side of the moon that is illuminated face away from the Earth.
When we are facing away from the Moon we are in daylight but for the other side of the world who are facing towards the Moon it is night time and that is when we can't see the Moon at all.
That configuration is known as the "New Moon" phase.
You can see all three of these. The phase of the moon when it is not visible is called new moon.
This is what causes the so-called "phases" of the moon: although fully half of the moon is lighted, we can only see part of the lighted part. A person on earth hardly ever sees all of the lighted side of the moon. When he does, he calls the sight a "full moon."
