Eyes are the organs of the body which take oxygen directly from air along with normal blood circulation. When you cry there is process of creating tears, known as lacrimation in medical terminology. To create tears various secretions from various glands, contribute. To increase tears during crying blood supply at that place is increased which is exhibited in the white part of both eyes called conjunctiva. When we rub eyes which is not a good thing it again causes increase of blood flow at that region causing more reddening of eyes.
