well to get games you need to have playstation shop by updating your psp then you can get free game demos or full games (not free) .
No it is a game and it is sold. Little Big Planet for the PS3 is one of the free games that you can choose for the customer appreciation program for the April 20 2011 shutdown. I do not know if the PSP also has free games that were given out and it could be that it is also free for the PSP for the same reason you can get the PS3 game free.
