Most men don't like confrontation and most do not communicate well. Some individuals way of dealing with situations is by not dealing with them at all. Others do or say certain things to get off the subject matter, to gain attention to themselves. It's more or less a psychological or mind game. Kind of like a test for them to see if you really care or love them to stop them from leaving.
