It is under the housing that the lower radiator hose hooks to on the engine. Remove alternator to access 1 bolt, oh, and move radiator forward to make room.
this sounds like a problem i had on my 2000 you need to look into having the shifting cable replaced. some of the late 90 models have had a recall on the shifter and if you are in that recall, you can go to a dodge dealer and they replace it for free, that was my case.
I just change the timeing chain in my 93 intrepid it has a 3.3 in it, i had to drop the oil pan. It toke me a few hours to figer out how to drop the oil pan all the way down you have to move the sway bar out of the way by the 4 bolts that are on the frame. You have to remove the alt and all the bolts on the timeing chain caver.

Dodge Intrepid Lost HVAC Heat Q. On my 1993 Dodge Intrepid, I lost heat for no reason. The fan works, I checked the fuses, they are fine. It only blows cold air down on my feet even if I put the setting on Defrost only. I checked the hoses coming into the firewall and they are both hot. The car is not overheating. Could this be the core? Your help is awesome. You fixed my other problem. Dodge Intrepid Dash Light WeirdnessLaurie A. If there is no heat at all, but the modes change as normal, then the possibilities get narrowed down quite a bit. Since you did not mention if this has Manual Temperature Control or Automatic Temperature Control I'm going to assume it is a manual system. The most likely possibility is a bad Blend Air Door Actuator. The temperature door actuator is located at the bottom of the heater housing at the center tunnel. Remove the three screws holding the actuator and turn it so you can see the drive. Upon removal, note the shaft position of the actuator, because the shaft on this motor is keyed. As you change the temperature setting, the drive should move one way or the other. If it does, then the Blend Air Door is stuck or broken. If it doesn't move, then the problem is with the control panel or the wiring in between the control panel and the actuator.Blend Air Door Actuator
It shuts down because your brain is tired from a long day and because you don't really move while you are sleeping. That is a really good question I really appreciate you asking this question.
