When you pay to the town fund animal crossing city folk do you have to pay 200k bells for the bridge and an extra 500k bells for fountain or just 200k 300k?

Donate 200,000 bells for the bridge and then after you receive the bridge donate 400,000 bells. (not 500,000 bells, by donating 500,000 bells you are donating an extra 100,000). Each Town addition is separately paid for, none of their costs continue over to the next town addition to decrease the amount you have to pay.
Bridge- 200K
Fountain- 400K
Windmill/Lighthouse- 1 Million

∙ 14y agoDonate 200,000 bells and you get a new bridge. Donate 300,000 more bells and you will get a fountain. Donate 500,000 more bells and you will get a windmill or a lighthouse. You get to pick, but your town can't have both unless you have a friend from another town pick the other one so you can have both.

∙ 10y agoWild World doesn't work like Animal Forest e+, City Folk or New Leaf; it only had a donation pool. There was no town fund due to the limitations of the original DS console. That being said, your town was as evolved as it could be.
Assuming it's just a typo in the title and meant for City Folk, yes, you have to pay the additional Bells. Ie, paying 200k for the bridge followed by 500k for the next installation. It really keeps you working.

You can't throw an axe into the city fountain, it's impossible. But if you donate 200,000 bells to the town fund and get a bridge, and then donate 500,000 coins to the town fund you will get a fountain. Once you get the fountain, you can go to it at night and there is a fountain spirit. You have to answer all of her questions correctly or she won't give you a golden axe. Please note that you MUST already have the bridge in order to get the fountain, and don't donate the money for the fountain and the bridge at the same time or it will waste it ALL on the bridge and you will lose a lot of money.
