Yes, but fyi, the "barrel" lowers the longer guns accuracy I don't use it
As are all Nerf guns, the Longshot is good. The longshot is great I own one and I have taken out thirty enemies in real life and in battle. But now there is a competitor: the NERF N-STRIKE LONGSTRIKE
I rang hasbro Ireland and I was told that the Nerf Longshot CS-6 will be available in all good toy stores in late January 2011.

You cannot get a longshot from th u.k however a good website is toysbythebundle the price is £40 and £21.98ish for p&p and it takes about 18 to 21days to get there
You can use the N-strike Recon CS-6 barrel (good gun, I recommend it)
Yes, it has a good rate of fire, comes with a 35-dart drum mag, and can accept any Nerf gun stock. However if youre look for a weapon iwth better range i would go with the Longshot, for about the same price.
Get a good gun. Since you leave me without details, I will have to assume you know nothing. 1. Buy a good Nerf gun. -Nerf Firefly REV 8 -Nerf Longshot CS6 -Nerf Vulcan EBF 25 2. Get tons of extra ammo. The vulcan and firefly can use anything, although the firefly excels with Glowdarts. The longshot uses a special long-range Nerf dart called a streamline dart. 2. Get extra clips/belts if needed. 3. Practice. Find a way to accurately aim your Nerf Gun up to 25 feet. Usually Nerf ironsights/scopes are not very useful for this. 4. Stay low, and run fast. You have no idea how hard it is to hit a moving target in a Nerf war. 5. Meleé your opponent as necessary. The Longsgot and Firefly are good for this.
The Nerf stampede uses the whistle dart that the longshot and cs-6 uses. The difference is that its clip can hold up to 18 darts while the other guns use only 6. The stampede also shares the same shape as the vulcan and it looks like the actual gun the pikeman. The pikeman used as a bazooka. Accuracy on the stampede is very good and distance is what you expect from a Nerf gun. Overall it is worth the $50.
The Nerf Elite is good product if you intend to modify it.
Try a simple manta combo, or perhaps put a rapid-fire into a rifle (Longshot+Maverick, Longstrike+Baricade, etc). If you want a challenge, try making a Lonshot powered by Titan internals.
Both guns are of supreme quality and performance. The Alpha Trooper has slam-firing and 18-round drum clip. Out of the box, it gets 30+ ft. ranges. Good for assault. The Longshot is a bolt-action clip system blaster that can fit an extra clip (it comes with an extra one) in the stock. You can take off the attachment, which is a failure of a gun (gets 10-15 ft. ranges out of the box). Out of the box, the Longshot gets 35+ ft. ranges. I suggest Alpha Trooper if you want to go all-out, and Longshot if you want to snipe of enemies 1 by 1. As for modding, the Longshot has crazy modding capabilities. With a few simple mods and removals, the Longshot can break 50 ft. Hope this will help.
You can, but it won't look or work very good. don't do it. open the gun.
