When you take your hamster out of its cage it lies on his back like a dog paws up in air does this mean something is wrong?

hamsters usually hate being on their backs so this isn't normal abd this means that the hamster is frightened so yes you should take it to someone that would know about it x

Well first of all there should not be mold in a hamsters cage. Try taking your hamster out of the cage and keep her/him in something else for a while. Scrub his/her cage really well, get hamster "cage clean" to get the stink out. Your hamster should be fine.
