When you try to get a job on the sims the sim stands upand says theres something wrong with the furniture what can i do to fix this?

try and move the furniture, it could be that the sim cant get around it.

The sims need a certain amount of space around furniture, for a clear walkway. Be sure there is a free walkway (at least one square wide) to reach each piece of furniture or object. The newspaper could also be out of reach, somehow. That, you can move in buy mode. Watch the little bubble above them when they get frustrated, and it should show what the problem piece is.
