It means you have to confront your fears, and man up and pimp slap them hoes.
This kind of behavior is completely normal for someone that was abused as a child. When a person is abused during the time in which they are developing that can make a very large impact on how that person reacts to others being close to them and touching them in any way. In order to be comfortable with that person you need to trust them and understand that they are not going to hurt you, talking about your past abuse as a child with that person may help as well.
