To spoil someone is to give them so much or treat them so well that they become greedy and self-absorbed.
It is often used as a non-literal phrase to suggest treating someone in such a manner (e.g. "My favourite cake? You spoil me!") without necessarily meaning anything bad.
I think that your friend was using the phrase non-literally, and just means that a friend was being very nice. If she did mean it literally (and you'd have to ask her to know) then she is probably jealous.
