Remove you foot from the accelerator, hang on to the steering wheel, do not apply the brakes, do not turn the steering wheel, and pray. If your car is in a "hydroplane", you should: -Ease off the accelerator
i just replaced my rotors on my 97 ranger , they werepitted and warp and could not be turned
It depends on the quality of the brake pads that were installed. It could also be a "glazing" of the pads and rotors due to your personal braking tendencies. I.E. riding the brakes or braking very slowly and early at red lights.
Change the brake rotors
brake rotors out of round
Always keep your wheels pointed in the direction you want to go. Yes, hold the brakes firmly down and steer around the trouble. The anti-lock brakes will prevent a skid except on ice or snow.
The steering wheel shimmering could be warped front rotors, when slowing down. The stalling when slowing down could be a bad fuel filter.
How's your wheel alignment and the condition of your brake rotors/drums?
Have your brake pads checked. If the squeaking sound stop when you apply the brakes it may be your brake pad wear indicators rubbing the rotors to warn you to have your brake pads replaced. If you ignore it damage will result when the rotors and metal brake pad backing or rivets rub after the brake pad linings are worn away.
It starts whenever you are ready for it to start.
