the pericardium is a fluid filled sac that cover the heart. it's function is to keep the heart contained inside the the chest cavity, it limits motion, and it prevents the heart from over expanding when the blood volume increases.
A septum in the heart is used to separate oxygenated and deoxygenated blood between the chambers. However, it is debated if a frog has a septum. If it does have a septum, it is only a partial barrier. Or, "the septum" in a frog could just be a tissue acting as a valve. Fish do not have a septum. Reptiles have a partial septum. And, birds, mammals, and a crocodile have a septum.
The heart is used to simply to act as a pump that provides pressure to make blood move to it's ultimate destination
