The fuel pump is an in tank unit and is located inside the petrol tank.
In the fuel tank, under the carpet in the boot, there is a panel remove that and the pump is there
If it is fuel injected it is located in the fuel tank.

Both are parts of a car. The fuel pump is either situated in the fuel tank or sometimes in the engine of the car and works to pump the fuel from the tank to and around the engine. The fuel line is a thin long pipe witch the fuel does travel through to get from the fuel tank to the engine. the fuel pump sends the fuel through the fuel line.
Lift the back seat, peel back the carpet, and you will find the fuel pump under the circular plastic cover.
Check fuses for fuel pump. In emergency connect a live wire to +on the fuel pump situated in (on) the fuel tank, make sure other connection on the pump is grounded in fuel injected cars.

The fuel pump on your Honda Civic is mounted on top and inside the fuel tank. On your Civic if you need to replace the fuel pump, you may be in luck. On most vehicles the fuel tank must be removed, but on many Honda automobiles there is an access panel located just above the fuel pump in the trunk or under the back seat. Look for this access panel before removing the fuel tank.
The level check for power steering fluid is on the reserve for the pump.
