Atoms create matter, but that raises the question "What created atoms?"
It is technically a paradox if you follow the scientific view.
Nothing can exist without something to create it, thus, a paradox is formed.
If you go with the Abraham religious views, God created everything, and God is immortal, and an exception from the creation process.
But scientifically, there is no answer to the question.
It just goes on, and on.

The Origin of Matter

Matter did not form from nothing, as this violates the law of conservation of mass. Rather, energy was converted into subatomic particles shortly after the Big Bang. However, due to the extremely hot and dense state of the Universe at the time, it would take thousands of years for true matter to finally assemble.

Below is the time line that leads up to the formation of matter:

In the very beginning, a singularity of extreme heat and density goes through an extremely fast inflation. Space and time suddenly originates, and the Universe expands to billions of times its original size in 10^-43 seconds. This initial expansion is commonly known as the "Big Bang"

About 10^-32 seconds after the Big Bang, energy is converted into a variety of subatomic particles, and the Universe is a seething hot soup of quarks and electrons

Nearly a second after the Big Bang, a rapidly cooling Universe permits quarks to clump together and form protons and neutrons. However, it is still too hot for atoms to assemble.

A few minutes after the Big Bang, the Universe continues to cool and expand, and protons and neutrons combine to form the first hydrogen nuclei. Photons interact with charged protons and electrons, preventing light from shining. The Universe is dark and opaque.

Thousands of years after the Big Bang, the Universe cools down enough for electrons to combine with protons and neutrons to form the first atoms. This is when true matter forms. Photons are also released and the Universe becomes transparent and filled with light.

The first elements are hydrogen and helium. Clouds of hydrogen and helium gas condense to form stars, and from there, all the other elements are produced.

Matter is a state of energy that becomes stable in a trade off concerning the speed of its light constituents. Notice that fractions of atomic matter called photons propagate through space at light speed away from their generating source. That energy state is one of the many tiny streams of energy carrying sub atomic constituents that produce (make up) the venue of space "the sea of it we drift through".

You see and feel matter because it has assembled into great quantities and is in a state of rest within the environment that travels across the universe with you.

The trade off is instead of traveling the speed of light due to the interaction with universal gravitation the photon matter of space assembled upon and within the earth providing the structural components and Energy to form the atomic elements your body and the planet is made of. So our atoms were assembled from states of space matter (photons) that propagated across space in the state of suspended particles of energy kept energized by the universal gravity field until they landed upon the earth forming (attaching-themselves) into states of mass as part of an atoms structure.

Just as our solar system interacts with its planetary components they are also made up of atoms. So in theory in another dimensional state an atom has redirected that energy from the universe into magnetic fields preserving its structural components by uniting integrally empowering its nature with the power of universal origin ~ Matter of space!

That is the BIG question. Scientists can tell us what happened about a picosecond after the creation of the Universe and all its matter, but they can't tell us how it came to be.

Its like asking if God exists Who made God. Its is beyond our understanding at this time.

In the currently accepted "Big Bang" theory, all of the matter in the universe was concentrated into one infinitesimally small point astronomers call a "singularity". When the "bang" occurred, all matter currently in our universe burst forth from that point in a few microseconds. Some of it has since been converted (the Periodic Table) but none of it has been destroyed (a physical impossibility). And to this day, something like 99.95% of the universe is still composed of hydrogen.

Every atom of matter is nothing but energy. This is not just spiritual talk, this is a scientific principle called Wave-Particle Duality. Every particle of matter is ultimately energy. We have to realize this. We have to understand that matter came about from energy. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed. It can only be transformed from one form to another. The moment we understand the law of thermodynamics and we apply our spiritual realization to it, we will understand that all matter is a manifestation of energy, Divine energy. The Creator has created this universe out of His own self. Every atom, earth, water, air, fire, space, everything is nothing but energy that appears as matter, then disappears, and becomes energy again. Study the principle of Wave-Particle Duality and you will realize the truth.
