There is no place to buy a USB recovery program. You need to first purchase a USB flash drive (these are relatively inexpensive), then you need to put the recovery program on the USB (such as a Windows recovery), You will then have a recovery program on a USB.
To connect an external hard drive it would, but that would be the only reason to connect USB.
depends how much u use a computer. i would suggest a 1 terrabite hard drive but u should get a 8 gb usb stick

I don't believe you can recover a file from a USB drive if you don't have the USB drive. I keep backups of the files.
