The US employed ALL OF IT'S CONVENTIONAL military assets in conventional and unconventional warfare in the Vietnam War. "Atomic" weapons and "Chemical/Biological" weapons were the only assets not used.
Thermonuclear warfare is the use of nuclear weapons in war, either tactically or strategically. Although the term "thermonuclear" technically applies only to the process of fusion, the term is loosely applied to conflict involving fission weapons, fusion weapons, or both (informal synonyms are "atomic war" or "nuclear war").
That in the atomic age (atomic weapons) only limited wars can be fought. Nuclear weapons would mean total war.
use it only on snotfaced Americans
B-29s were used to bomb Tokyo, but not with atomic weapons. Only Hiroshima and Nagasaki with attacked with atomic weapons.
The only country to have used nuclear warfare in history is the USA
By executive order of President Harry S. Truman the U.S. dropped the nuclear weapon "Little Boy" on the city of Hiroshima on Monday, August 6, 1945, followed by the detonation of "Fat Man" over Nagasaki on August 9. These are the only attacks with nuclear weapons in the history of warfare.
The United States is the only country to ever have used atomic bombs in warfare.
Nuclear weapons are right now the only barrier between WW3.
On August 6, 1945, the first Atomic bomb was dropped on japan. Another was dropped on August 9,1945 which ended WWII. Those are the only times in the history of warfare that an Atomic weapon was used.
The atomic bomb is too expensive to develop for a city to have them. They are weapons held only by industrialized countries.
In the history of warfare, only two nuclear weapons have been detonated offensively. The first was at Hiroshima, Japan, and the second was at Nagasaki, Japan. The weapons, the Little Boyand the Fat Man respectively, were dropped by the U.S. There was one nuclear test, the so-called Trinity test, that preceeded these bombings. In that test, the U.S. actually set off a nuclear device for the first time in history. Following that successful test, the other two bombs were built and deployed.
