Where and why did the US intervene in Cuba?

In Cuba the US blocked ships coming in from the Soviet Union (because they were suspected to contain atomic bombs and other weaponary) and the initiated the Bay of Pigs, were top American undercover soliders tried to get into Cuba and destroy the bomb factories and help the people overthrow Fidel Castro and restore capitalism.

By the end of the 19th century, Spain lost most of its colonies. It only had left very few colonies like the Philippines and the Guam island and also Cuba.

The U.S. had an interest in Cuba. The U.S. wanted to buy Cuba from Spain, but Spain didn't want the U.S. to buy Cuba. Between 1868 and 1878 the Cubans began to rebel against Spain. Cuba wanted their Independence. The Cubans failed.

The United States or the American Capitalism began to invest millions of dollars in the arge sugar cane plantations on the island. Spain was taking over Cuba and the Cubans began to want help from the U.S. Cubans destroyed plantations that beong the Americans for help.

After the U.S. ship U.S.S. Maine exploded the Americans had enough and thought that Spain destroyed their ship and then the Americans took action. This became the Spanish American War. the U.S. wanted to help the Cubans gain their independence and let Cuba become part of its terrritory. in exchange to hep fight. The Spanish American War was fought in Cuba, the Philippines and Guam Island. Spain lost the War and America had controll over all those countries.
