Get kingdom hearts 2 if you have played one or both but if you haven't played / beaten Kingdom hearts get the first one. They are both awesome and KH2 is simply amazing but you HAVE TO play the first one first. The emotional roller coaster that is Kingdom Hearts is a good one, but if you don't have the launching point then there is no ride. KH2 isn't half as good if you haven't played the first one.

I say that both story are interesting, but the graphics and depth of the stories in Kingdom Hearts 2 is much better than that of Kingdom Hearts.
