Cyclops are one eyed mythical creatures
in the pit
No. There was supposedly a one-eyed elephant skull found before, but that was not exactly the same thing. In mythology, a cyclops was human (giant), I believe
Odysseus and his men expect to be treated as a guest by the cyclops, although they originally thought the island the Cyclops lived on was inhabited by humans, until they found out differently.
There is no such hybrid. Cyclops are mythical creatures. The actual "cyclops shark" is one of several specimens (individual sharks) found with only a single eye. Usually these rare mutations do not survive, and are unlikely to breed offspring with the same mutation.
To be correct what did Odyessus do to the cyclops. He poked the cyclops in the eye.
The cyclops that Odysseus encountered was Polyphemus; in Greek Mythology there were many cyclops.
A cyclops has one eye.
Cyclops have one eye because people who discovered it on an island saw elephant skeletons. they were not experts, so they thought it was a new mystical creature. so comes the cyclops. But why does the cyclops have one eye? The reason a cyclops has one eye is because the people who found it saw the large hole in the skull. This was the space for the elephant trunk, but they thought that it was an eye socket! There we go.
