I too, have had a flea problem in my home. Well, they are mostly found on the carpet/sofa/curtains region. These non-flying, jumping dots are a nuisance. No spray works on them

But i have a solution. Get a insecticide powder. Sprinkle it thoroughly everywhere, especially the regions i have mentioned above, as well as the enterance of the house. After 2 hours, vaccuum your house. Do this consistently thrice a day, till a week.. and guess what, NO FLEAS!!!

No! No! No! cat fleas cant live in human clothes! its a scientific fact!!!!!Correction:There are no "cat fleas" - fleas are fleas, and the same ones that get on cats also get on dogs and other animals. The even bite people, but since people don't have fur for them to hide or burrow in, they don't stay on them. And yes, fleas can live in clothing. Fleas can actually live in a sort of suspended animation for a long time, even outside in the cold winter. Then as soon as they detect body heat, they are able to leap onto the body of the animal that's nearby.

What part of a dogs body do they have fleas?

You should mostly check in the most hairy places on your animal, such as the neck, back, and underside. Another great place to check is near the animals tail; fleas love to hide in areas of dense fur, so be sure to comb these areas with a flea comb, if possible. Fleas are not easily seen by the naked human eye so using a flea comb is a quick and painless way to check your dog's coat for fleas.

Can human get fleas?

Yes, this happens all the time. Fleas typically prefer to live on other mammals like dogs and cats because they can hide in the fur coat easier. However, if a human is the only meal they can find, fleas will happily feed on humans with no problem.A flea would much prefer to live off of the blood of cats, dogs, or other animals, than they would that of a human. It is extremely unlikely for a human to be infested with fleas, but singular flea-bites are not uncommon.

How do you get rid of ticks and fleas?

The only way through which we can prevent fleas is maintaining hygiene of the pet and proper grooming. The place where you pet plays, lives, sleeps or roams should be super clean. The vegetation should not be much but since it provides a place to hide for fleas. Most of the pet owners think that vacuuming the place will take away all the dirt that fleas produce, its true but proper Integrated pest control methods can also help out. Mainly the outdoor surroundings play an important role in maintaining hygiene.
