It is a fuse built into a wire a they are a hard to find, once found thu not to hard to replace,a little heat skrink tape some crimp type ends and presto maybe if you did it right it won't catch fire, insure it just in case-witgh a low deductable.
My version:Most of them are right by the battery, either connected directly to the battery terminal or a terminal a main cable is connected to.It will just be a piece of wire to look at unless it has failed, then it is a burnt piece of wire.
Some come off the starter (common on North American GM products)
This is a special wire that acts as a fuse. An in line fuse of the same rating may be used in place of it or you can purchase this at a parts supply store.
what are fusible links
You splice a new one in. Replacement fusible links are available from your local auto parts store. They come in different sizes.
the 2002 Stratus have no fusible links
how do you locate the fusible links in 92 Toyota Camry
Fusible links are generally in the harness next to the battery.
The fusible links on GMC sierra are on the firewall, left side (passenger) of engine compartment.
fuse and fusible links are located in the lower, not ground low, front of engine. A little to the drivers side.
The fusible links on a 1995 Explorer are located on the side of the alternator. Follow the red power wire from the battery to the fuse links.
The Villager does not use fusible links that I am aware.
Fusible links are generally located close to the main power source such as the battery or accessory solenoid.

They are located on the wires going to the starter, if you can see the starter, you can see the links hey the fusible links are actually located on the fire wall right behind the battery
