Yes you can because we have an 87 with a factory manual window.

You first have to lower the rear window. If the switches don't work you need to remove the carpet covering the tail gate then remove the metal cover from the tail gate. You will need to reach inside and disconnect the window from the arms that raise it so that it can be lowered. once it is lowered you should be able to open the tail gate.

I discovered that the major problem is with the window tracks and the support bar. bothe of wich can be purcheased at www.grandwagoneers.com or www.teamgrandwagoneer.com. You will also need to lube the gears and check for other problems while you have the inside cover off. DJ753

If you are refering to the belt tensioner. I have not seen one on a grand wagoneer with a 360.
