The Poodle orginates from France, no doubt about it. Some people say that they orginated from Germany, but i don't believe that. Of course, Poodles are orginated from France. The Poodle did originate from Germany. People just think they came from France because they were very popular there. The Poodle was bred to retireve game from the lakes and oceans, similar to the Labrador and Golden Retriever.

Whether it was developed if France, Germany,Denmark, or the ancient Piedmont is not known, Despite the claims of those countries, France is said to be officially recognized as its country of origin, as this breed occupies a special place in the affections of the French.

∙ 15y agoThe Poodle as we know it today is believed to originate in Germany. The German poodle was believed to be descended from Asian herding dogs that were brought to Germany by the Goths. It then went on to be popular throughout Europe. The first pictures of poodles as we know them today showed up in the 15th century. France went on the embrace the poodle and name it their national dog. So all in all you could say the modern poodle originated in Germany.
