There are multiple relays located throughout the car. There are relays back by the engine (ex. fuel pump), relays under the dash (Door locks) and relays up front (for the headlight motors).
Power door locks have relays located inside the cabin fuse box. Locate the relays for the door switch and see if they need replacing. If so replace the units.
There are several relays located in the back of the glove compartment behind the door that says "relays". Back there you will find the fuel pump relay, the horn relay, the daytime running lights relay and the power door locks relay (if equipped).
You should already have relays if you have power doorlocks
I recently had this problem. Mine turned out to be the "unlock" relay switch. There are two relays- one unlocks all the doors the other locks all the doors. The relays are located on the bottom left side of the fuse box which is located on the front passenger side. If only one door is affected it is best to check that doors' locking mechanism.
Saturn cars in my opinion are JUNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ============ Fuse and relay are located by the front passenger left foot (small access door) - there is one fuse and two relays (one for opening and one for closing the door locks..).dh
There is a Relay for the Power Door Locks, which I purchased today from Checker Auto parts, but I can not find where the relay is located. I am assuming or hoping that it is the Relay for both the Door Locks and Power Windows.
Check the three relays in the glove compartment. One of the three relays is for the fuel pump, the others are for the horn and daytime running lights. If your vehicle has power door locks there would be a fourth relay in there.
The door locks are not computer controlled.
alarm doesnt wrk neither does door locks with key
Under the center panel of dashThe relays are under the dash. The center panel of the dash can be lifted (press the button, lift up) to get access to the relays and fuses. Under the panel is the layout of the fuses and relays to identify their function. The door lock relay box on a Previa is an orange box located just to the left of the steering column. You will have to remove the cover below the steering column to access the relay box.
The lever to the rear upper door is located on the outside of the vehicle and will rust. Push the lever all the way closed (towards the car) and the locks may work correctly. If so, lubricate the lever and try to remove the rust. Once the lever moves freely the locks should function as normal.
