where is the oxygen sensor location on a 1998 explorer bank 2 sensor
Bank #1 is the passenger side of the engine , and sensor # 2 is in the exhaust after the catalytic converter ( downstream )
The oxygen sensor on any vehicle is located on under the car on the top of the muffler pipe just behind the cadallidic converter....do you know what the oxygen sensor looks like so you know what you're looking for?
The 1998 Ford Explorer 5.0 liter engine IAT sensor is located between the engine and the air filter box. The IAT sensor will be on the air intake hose.

The 1998 Toyota Avalon oxygen sensor fuse can be found in the fuse box. The oxygen sensor fuse will be the number 17 fuse.
I'M NOT A MECHANIC but if I'm reading this right it is a heated oxygen sensor , (bank 2 , sensor 1 ?) Which would be the heated oxygen sensor on the driver's side of the engine , either screwed into the exhaust manifold or into the exhaust pipe near the engine. (Helpfull)
There is no such thing as an oxygen speed sensor.
It depends on which o2 sensor.
NO They are not the same.
It screwed in to the exhaust manifold. To change it you unplug the sensor and unscrew it with an O2 sensor socket.
Bank 2 is the drivers side of the engine on your Ford Explorer Bank 2 / Sensor 1 is in the exhaust manifold or the exhaust pipe before the exhaust enters the catalytic converter
