RIGHT UNDER THE HOSE LEADING FROM THE AIR INTAKE TO THE ENGINE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ENGINE COVER
I have a 2005 Nissan altima and it use to do that until I replaced the crankshaft and camshaft sensors, have not had that problem since. The crankshaft sensor is real easy to replace. The camshaft is a little more difficult but can be done, I would recommend you trying it yourself. The sensors I got from autozone and paid about $35 a piece and safe a lot in labor charges.
get a new cam position sensor (about $35)
I called the ford dealership and they had this in stock from the price range of $35-$40. It is also pretty easy to install. Good luck.
