The rear brake pedal is under your foot on the right hand side and the front brake is a lever on your handle grip on the right hand side.

Normally, use both brakes at the same time. If your rear wheel locks, DO NOT brake, but rather decrease throttle until you can coast to a stop on the side of the road.
An "endorsement" is an addition to your drivers license. A few endorsements can include a motorcycle, vehicles with air brakes, etc. It varies from state to state how your division of motor vehicles displays or processes it.
