It is located on the left (drivers) side of the engine. It is near the back of the engine on the head itself next to the intake. You will need to loosen the cam cover bolt to get it out. I believe it's a 8mm bolt holding it in and is not real easy to get you (need really small hands). You may have to move the throttle cables to get to it. The sensor itself is relatively inexpensive. Be very careful not to pull the wires out of the connector when removing it.

There are two O2 sensors for the 01 QX4. One in front of the catalytic converter and other is behind the converter.
